Baptismal and Christening gifts The gifts you give for the child's Baptism and Christening will not be too different. Usually Baptism and Christening fall within a few years, sometimes a few days of each other so that the type of gifts you give for both occasions will differ only with regards to the size for clothing. Young infants Cute little infant dresses are always good to give as gifts for Baptism or Christening. In the same manner, baby pillows and quilts will be very useful for the infant. In case you are sponsoring the event, you will usually have to purchase the baby's attire. For young infants, there need not be any distinction on the basis of gender and all babies can wear Baptismal gowns. For older babies, gowns are for girls as suits are for boys. A picture fr Baby rattles made of plastic or silver and engraved or embossed with Baptism and Christening motifs are said to be excellent ways of driving away bad influence and attracting benevolent forces to the baby. There are beautiful baby's clothes which feature button bells or caps with tiny bells attached to their top. Gifting older children You may already give bracelets and other pieces of jewelry to children who are old enough to know that such things are not to be eaten. Otherwise those types of gifts are health hazards. In choosing jewelry, you have a wide assortment of bracelets and necklaces strung with bright and colorful crystals. There are, of course, those pieces of silver jewelry that you can hang pendants or bangles on. Pendants and bangles can be very useful at that same time that they are decorative. Contact details of the child may be engraved on them. Such information as the child's name and the residence as well as the contact number of his/her guardians are useful for the child to have. Identification jewelry are very charming to wear even after the child has grown into an adult. They can always become good conversation topics. There are comic book style publications of Bible stories which are wonderful to give for those occasions. Likewise, you have children's books about the live of the saints or Christ's life. Of course you give these things only to children who can read already. Presents for older children on Baptism, Christening and Communion Rosaries can already be given for the child's First Holy Communion. That will be the perfect time to start the child learning how to pray the rosary. There are rosaries made of plastic, wooden or crystal beads. Wooden rosaries may be made from strung seeds of the olive or some other fruit. They may also be made of fragrant sandal wood. A prayer book is also excellent for giving as a communion gift. A concise version of the Holy Bible might also be appropriate. Of course you can also gift the child with clothing. Baptism, Christening and Communion deserve celebration The landmark nature of Baptism, Christening and Communion for the child should be made apparent to him/her by celebrating those three occasions. They are very important events in the spiritual life of the child. However, you don't have to have something even slightly extravagant. A table with snacks surrounding a modest sized cake will bring the point home.
